The Consolidated Tracing Facility (CTF) Viewer is a tool for viewing binary format trace files that were created by configuring
the CTF BINFILE emitter..
The CTF Viewer enables you to:
- Navigate a trace file using the usual arrow and navigation keys
- Display annotations for trace events to give them meaningful descriptions
- Display more details of the selected event in the Properties view
- Open more than one trace file at a time, with each trace file being opened in a separate editor tab
- Set CTF preferences to control annotation file locations, and automatic switching to the CTF perspective
- Use bookmarks for quick navigation
- Perform text searches
To use the CTF Viewer, you need to create trace files in binary format and to set up your environment and CTF configuration
file appropriately.
