Running

You control the floating point format that is used at run-time using either of the following:

• mainframe_floating_point tunable. See mainframe_floating_point for more information.
• MAINFRAME_FLOATING_POINT environment variable. See the section The MAINFRAME_FLOATING_POINT Environment Variablethe chapter Environment Variables in your User's Guide for more information.

If both are specified, the setting of the MAINFRAME_FLOATING_POINT environment variable overrides the setting of the mainframe_floating_point tunable.
