The following restrictions apply if you are using Microsoft's Visual Studio Shell: 
               	 
            
 
            	 
             
               		
               - Microsoft's Visual Studio Shell does not support WCF so the WCF demonstration programs do not work in it. In addition, the
                  project templates for WCF are not installed. 
                  		  
                  To use WCF and the WCF samples, you need to use a more advanced edition of Visual Studio such as 
                     			 Professional, Premium, or Ultimate. 
                     		  
                   
- Internet Information Services (IIS) Express is required to create Web projects using the Visual Studio Shell. Download IIS
                  Express from the Microsoft Download Centre. If this is not installed, you may get an error "Configuring IIS Express failed
                  with the following error: Initializing the applicationhost.config file failed. Cannot find IIS Express. 
                  		
               
- There is no integrated designer for icon and bitmap files 
                  		
               
- The Windows SDK must be installed. 
                  		
               
- Examples and demonstration programs that use languages other than COBOL do not work, because Visual Studio Shell does not
                  support any other languages. This applies to the following demonstrations:

- Microsoft's Visual Studio Shell does not support the generation of clients for service interfaces created using the Interface
                  Mapping Toolkit (IMTK).
