To create a SQL Server database project

  1. Be sure that you have enabled SQL CLR and that you have created a SQL Server database.
  2. From the Visual Studio IDE, click File > New > Project.
  3. Under Installed Templates, click COBOL > Database.
  4. From the drop-down list above SQL Server Database Project, select any .NET Framework version, including version 4 or 4.5.
  5. Click SQL Server Database Project.
  6. Complete the Name and Location fields; then click OK.
