Allocating a new partitioned data set

If the Mainframe Explorer window is not displayed, click View > Mainframe Explorer.
  1. In the Mainframe Explorer window, log on to the mainframe.
  2. Right-click the mainframe connection, then click Allocate > Partitioned dataset. The Allocate a new partitioned dataset screen appears.
  3. Complete the details for the new data set, then click OK.
    Tip: For help completing the fields, click Help on the dialog box.

    The new data set is added to the catalog.
