To configure edit warnings

To turn edit warnings on or off as the default
  1. From the Data File Tools IDE, click Options > DataTools.
  2. To configure warnings for the IMS Database Editor, click the IMS DB Editor tab.
  3. To turn on the Delete and/or Update warning messages, check the appropriate box(es).
  4. To turn off the Delete and/or Update warning messages, uncheck the appropriate box(es).
  5. Click OK.
Important: Changes take effect the next time you open a database. Therefore, new settings do not take effect for any currently open databases.
To turn off edit warnings for the current editing session
  • When an edit warning prompt appears, check the Switch warning off box before responding to the prompt.
