MDB

Set the value Multiple Database (MDB) generation target; this becomes the value of the built-in &APS-MDB function in the control file, which, in turn, is passed to the IG. In your rule program logic, examine this variable to tailor the output to the generated application database.
Restriction: This topic applies only when the AppMaster Builder AddPack has been installed, and applies only to Windows platforms.

Syntax:

/MDB=databasetarget

Comments:

  • The default target is VSAM.
  • Enclose any targets that have hyphens as part of their name in quotes. For example, /MDB=SQL and /MDB="SQL-SVR".
