Use the Compare Data tool after transferring data to verify and compare the newly imported data with the original data. As
with the other HCOSS tools, you create and name compare data tasks and store them in a local or shared location. You can run
the Compare Data tool either from the HCOSS user interface, or from the command line using the
MFTestConversion
command.
To run the Compare Data tool, you must have:
- A connection to your DB2 database
- An associated DDL task
- A connection to your SQL Server database
The Compare Data tool includes the following functionality:
- Reads the data from the DB2 database source connection and the SQL Server database destination connection
- Compares the data found in each
- Shows the results for each row of data that was transferred from the source connection to the destination connection
