Applications developed using a COBOL development system require a COBOL run-time server to provide the necessary run-time
               system and support.

Enterprise Test Server is your COBOL run-time server. It is supplied as part of
Enterprise Developer, which is your COBOL development system.
Enterprise Test Server is also supplied separately, and provides the execution environment for applications created with any IDE variant of
               		Enterprise Developer.

End users need to install COBOL run-time licenses before they can run applications that use the COBOL run-time system.

             You need to:

               - Ship
Enterprise Test Server with your application, if it is a modular application. We recommend that you ship the whole of
Enterprise Test Server to avoid compatibility issues and other problems.

- Ensure that the application you have developed has the proper
Enterprise Test Server licenses. Your end users need to install the licenses before they can run the application. This is done by using the
Micro Focus License Administration Tool. The license, required to license the application, is either supplied when you ship the COBOL run-time server with the
application or by end-user request from
                  		  Micro Focus.

Enterprise Test Server Variants and Deploying Applications

               To configure
Enterprise Test Server your development administrator will work with the development teams to set up the
Enterprise Test Server environment on your central Windows test server, as follows:

                  - Micro Focus Enterprise Developer is used to recompile application source code for execution on Windows.

- Test data sets or databases are made available either locally or on the mainframe through remote access.

- Development and test teams are trained to ensure that they understand how to test applications within the
Enterprise Test Server environment and to switch between the different test regions it supports.

Enterprise Test Server comes in the following product variants:

                  - Enterprise Test Server, which is the standard Test Server product and is a mainframe Test Execution environment.

- Enterprise Test Server Premium, which also provides Test Automator. Use Test Automator to automate testing by creating automated test suites you
                     can play back against
Enterprise Test Server or against the host.
