Generate a COBOL Client

Walks you through the process of generating a COBOL client for the MakeCheckAppt service interface.
Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments (local development) only.

You can now generate a COBOL client to access the MakeCheckAppt service that you deployed to the ESSOAP enterprise server instance.

  1. From the Application Explorer view, right-click the MakeCheckAppt Web Service; then select Generate Client from the context menu.
  2. On the Generate Client dialog box, click Current project; then click OK.

You can watch the generation process in the Service Interfaces Console. When it is complete, the message "The client generation completed successfully" is displayed, after which Eclipse rebuilds the project. The following files are added to the project in the client folder:
