Create the ACCTWEB Project

Create the ACCTWEB mainframe-enabled COBOL project for this tutorial.

To create a project to hold the sample application files:

  1. Start Eclipse using a workspace location of your choice.
  2. In Eclipse, be sure that the Team Developer Perspective is your active perspective.
  3. From the Application Explorer view, right-click Enterprise Development Projects; then select New COBOL Project > Mainframe COBOL Project.

    This starts the New Mainframe COBOL Project wizard.

  4. Type ACCTWEB into the Project Name field.
  5. Click Finish.

    The ACCTWEB project appears in the Application Explorer view. By default, the COBOL dialect is Enterprise COBOL for z/OS and the character set is EBCDIC.
