Assembler Linker Directives

You can specify Assembler Linker directives on the command line when building from the command line, or in your project properties when building from the IDE.

Note: Take care when setting compiler directives in the Additional Directives field on the Linker tab of your project properties Assembler page as these could conflict with a default setting.

AMODE
Set the memory address type.
ANIM
Generate .idf and .idx files required to debug an Assembler module during execution.
ASM
Specify the Assembler language.
AUTOALIAS
Create entries in the mfentmap.dat file for all entry points in all included Assembler modules.
CALL
Attempt to automatically resolve any remaining external references by repeatedly searching the load library for .obj files matching external names.
COMPOSITE
Do not automatically include the main module in the executable program file.
EXPORT
Export all CSECT names and entry names so that COBOL modules can call them at run time (using LOAD and BALR instructions).
LIST
Create a listing of the CSECTs in filename.390 with their addresses relative to the beginning of the program, entry points, and external cross references in filename.lst in the listing library.
NONCAN
Mark the filename.390 file as re-entrant and non-cancel; this prevents it from being removed from storage at the end of execution, even if it is executed from IMS or CICS.
OMF
Specifies the type of output - load module or CICS data table.
RENT
Mark the filename.390 file as re-entrant; this prevents reloading of the module each time it is called.
REUS
Mark load module as serially reusable; this prevents reloading of the module each time it is called.
RMODE
Specify a residence mode for the load module.
TRACE
Display trace of Assembler Linker execution to aid in debugging linking problems.
