Legacy Enterprise Server Administration User Interface

Micro Focus recommends you adopt the Enterprise Server Common Web Administration (ESCWA) interface. ESCWA is a modern and feature-rich interface that combines functionality from Enterprise Server Administration, ESMAC, and the ESF LDAP Security Administration interfaces.

By default, the legacy Enterprise Server Administration user interface is disabled. To enable the interface:

1. With $COBDIR set to the product installation folder, type:
```
mfds -s 2
```
2. When mfds has terminated, type:
```
mfds --UI-on
```
3. Restart mfds from the product bin folder, using the root logon, type:
```
mfds &
```

The legacy Enterprise Server Administration user interface requires the following minimum Web browser versions:

Internet Explorer V6.0 or greater.
Netscape V6.0 or greater.
Mozilla V1.3 or greater.

Note: By default, Directory Server uses port 86. If you have an active firewall on the Directory Server machine, you need to make sure that it is configured to allow access to this port.
