To set a fixed port in a listener endpoint address

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments (local development) only.
  1. If started, stop the enterprise server.
  2. On the Enterprise Server Administration page, in the row for your enterprise server, click the Details button for the Listeners in the Communications Processes column.
  3. Click Edit on the row for the appropriate listener.

    The default setting for Endpoint Address is *:*. The second * indicates an ephemeral (dynamic) port number.

  4. Change the Endpoint Address to *:nnnn where nnnn is a fixed port number.
    Note: The default fixed port number used for service interfaces is 9003. If you use a port number other than 9003, be sure to edit the Service endpoint URL in your service interface properties to match. See To set deployment properties for more information.
  5. Click OK.
