Adding a catalog search filter

If the Mainframe Explorer window is not displayed, click View > Mainframe Explorer.
  1. In the Mainframe Explorer window, log on to the mainframe.
  2. Right-click the mainframe connection, then click Add Catalog filter.
    Tip: Click Add Catalog Filter (Add Catalog Filter).

    The Add Catalog search screen appears.

  3. In the search field, type a fully-qualified or partial data set name to filter on, then click OK. Some examples include:
    Option Description
    MFIABC Locates data sets prefixed MFIABC
    MFIABC, MFIDEF Locates data sets prefixed MFIABC or MFIDEF
    MFIABC; Z Locates data sets prefixed MFIABC or that start with Z
    The filter appears in Mainframe Explorer; expand it to show its contents.
