To start the ADO.NET Connection Editor as an administrator

In standalone mode:

Windows 8.1

From the Windows Start screen, right-click the ADO.NET Connection Editor tile.
On the bottom of the page, click Run as administrator.
If prompted, click Yes.

Windows 10 and Later

From your Windows desktop, click Start > Micro Focus Enterprise Developer.
Right-click ADO.NET Connection Editor.
On the context menu, click More > Run as administrator.

From Visual Studio:

Start Enterprise Developer as an administrator.
In Visual Studio, click View > Micro Focus SQL Tools > ADO.NET Connection Editor.

From the OpenESQL Assistant:

Start Visual Studio as an administrator.
Start the OpenESQL Assistant.
From the OpenESQL Assistant, click ADO.NET Connection Editor.
