CICS DOCTEMPLATE - doctemplate_name (group_name)

Use this page to view and edit the DOCTEMPLATE doctemplate_name, selected from the CICS Group group_name page.

Name
The name of this template.
Grp
The group to which this resource belongs. Do not use group names beginning with "DFH" as these are reserved for use by CICS.
Description
A description of this template. This can be up to 58 characters long.
Append CR/LF
Specifies whether CICS deletes trailing spaces from, and appends carriage return/line feed to, each logical record of the template.
Content Type
The format of the template contents, either BINARY or EBCDIC. If you choose BINARY, when the template is loaded its contents are not parsed; if you select EBCDIC, the template contents are parsed as EBCDIC text.
Template Name
The name by which the template is know to application programs that use it. The name can be up to 48 characters long. If you do not enter a value, it defaults to the value of Name.
Template Type
The type for the source of the template.
Enter details for one of the following:
File
The name of a CICS file which contains the template. This name can be up to eight characters long.
TS Queue
The name of a temporary storage queue containing the template. This name can be up to 16 characters long.
TD Queue
The name of a transient storage queue containing the template. This name can be up to four characters long.
Program
The name of the CICS program that contains the template. This name can be up to 48 characters long. If you do not specify a value, the template name is used.
Exit Program
The name of the exit program that generates this template. This name can be up to eight characters long.
MVS PDS
The details of an MVS partitioned data set (PDS) containing the template.
  • DD Name, the name of the PDS. This name can be up to eight characters long. The default is "DFHHTML".
  • Member Name, the name of a member in the PDS. This name can be up to eight characters long.
HFS File
The name of a z/OS UNIX System Services file containing the template. This can be either the absolute name including all directories and beginning with a slash, or a name relative to the home directory of the CICS region. The name can be up to 255 characters long.
