ES_OPEN_CAT_ON_DEMAND

Determines if additional catalogs (as specified using MFUSERCAT_NODE) are opened when the system starts, or only opened when required.

Syntax:

ES_OPEN_CAT_ON_DEMAND=Y|N

Parameters:

Y: When the enterprise server region starts, no attempt is made to open the catalogs specified in MFUSERCAT_NODE. Only the system catalog is opened initially, and the other nodes are opened when required.
N: When the enterprise server region starts, all nodes are opened.

Comments:

When ES_OPEN_CAT_ON_DEMAND=N is set and there is a problem opening any of the nodes specified in MFUSERCAT_NODE, the JES system will not start.
