To generate an external table function

  1. Start the Stored Procedure Test tool.
  2. Click Create a new (external) Table FunctionCreate new table function.
  3. Complete each page of the Wizard. For help on a specific page and help on a specific field or control on a page, click Help.
Note: The Wizard writes one COBOL and one SQL file containing the generated code. The location of these files is specified in your SP Test tool Options, and the filenames are as follows:
  • SQL file - functionname.sql
  • COBOL file - functionname.cbl
