Once an agent has been installed on a machine, it will discover all
enterprise server instances that reside there. For each instance, the following, if defined, is also discovered:
- Properties from the
General tab in the
Enterprise Server Administration pages
- Listeners and their properties
- Services and their properties
- Request Handlers and their properties
- Packages and their properties
- CICS properties
- JES properties
- JES Initiators and their properties
- JES printers and their properties
- IMS properties
- IMS DB properties
- IMS TM properties
- IMS MPRs' and their properties
Note: Discovery will occur for each enterprise server instance regardless of whether it is enabled for event logging or performance
monitoring.
The discovery interval is 1 hour, so a change of properties in a server may not immediately appear in Operations Manager.
