Specifying the Mandatory Environment Variables

For both enterprise server regions, you need to specify the mandatory environment variables:

  1. In the navigation pane, click Directory Servers > Default > REGION1.
  2. In the menu bar, click General > Properties.
  3. In the Configuration Information field, type the following: 
    [ES-Environment]
MFDBFH_CONFIG=C:\PAC_Config\mfdbfh.cfg
  4. Click Apply.

Optionally, you might want to specify a directory for the system work files including the console log:

  1. In the System Directory field, type a path to a folder where the system work files can be stored. If the folder does not exist, then create it. In this case, type C:\ESCWA\System\REGION1.
  2. Click Apply.
Note: The system directory path must be different for each of the enterprise server regions in the PAC.
