Recording a Standalone Console Application

To record a standalone application with Silk Performer:

Launch Silk Performer.
Click File > New Project and create a new Web project.
Create a new recording profile for the standalone console application.
Specify a name for the profile.
Specify the path to the batch file.
Specify Custom Application as the application type.
Select Winsock.
Begin recording the application. After recording you should have a Web BDL script that contains all the HTTP/TCP calls of the console application to a Web service.
