The Eclipse Welcome Page

When you first open Eclipse there is a Welcome page that contains a number of useful links to information sources. Follow the links to the information you are interested in, or click a link to open to the perspective that is most suitable for you.

If you do not want to do either of these, close the Welcome page (by clicking the Close button in the toolbar of the Welcome page, ). You can always display the Welcome page later by clicking Help > Welcome.
