To edit an XA resource

Open Enterprise Server Administration, and then select an enterprise server region from the list in the left pane.
In the right pane, click General > XA Resources.
On the list of XA resources, click Edit on the line representing the XA resource you want to edit.
Warning: If you edit the ID of an enabled resource, it effectively creates a new resource whilst leaving the previously-named resource active in memory. To create a resource with the intended ID, the recommended action is to delete the enabled resource, and add a new one using the new ID.
Update the attributes on the page as required.
Click Save.

Note: If you have edited the resource whilst the region is running, any in-flight transactions are processed using the previous details, then the changes come into effect for the next available connection.

To set the number of XA resource reconnect attempts following an error

To configure an XA resource module (RM) to a single reconnect attempt, set the ES_XA_RECONNECT environment variable. For details, see the Single mode reconnect.

To configure an RM to attempt multiple reconnects, set the ES_XA_%xaname%_OPTIONS environment variable. For details, see Multiple mode reconnect.
