You have tried a SORT or MERGE operation which has USING/ GIVING files which are defined as EXTERNAL. The SORT/ MERGE module
does not support USING/ GIVING files defined as EXTERNAL.
Resolution:
Recompile your program to use the callable SORT module (EXTSM).
